Virginia Black Farmer Directory

Virginia Black Farmer Directory

The just-launched Virginia Black Farmer Directory is a cumulative project and effort to build a community for Black farmers and centralize resources for consumers, wholesalers, markets, and other farmers across Virginia.

The directory is a collective effort initiated by the food justice interns at Cultivate Charlottesville and Michael Carter Jr. of Africulture and Carter Family Farms (located in Orange County, read our blog feature). It was created by Local Food Hub’s Grower Outreach and Diversity Coordinator Briana Stevenson and will be maintained by Local Food Hub.

We encourage you to utilize this great tool for supporting Black producers and businesses in the Virginia Piedmont region, available at www.virginiablackfarmerdirectory.com.
