Buy Fresh Buy Local Illinois Launches Farm-to-Table Restaurant Awards
Voting runs September 14-30, 2020
Farm-to-table dining experiences help us, as diners, learn about the food we eat while engaging with the chefs who prepare it. Knowing what we eat, and where it came from, is not only healthy for our bodies but also for our local economy. We’re lucky that here in Illinois we have access to some of the best ingredients available and restaurants that take pride in featuring them on their menu. Let’s celebrate those restaurants with the Illinois’ Favorite Farm-to-Table Restaurant Awards | 2020.
Presented by Buy Fresh Buy Local Illinois, the awards are your chance to show your favorite farm-to-table restaurants some love. We’re asking diners to vote for their favorite farm-to-table restaurants. In order to be considered as farm-to-table, the restaurant must source from at least one local farm that is listed in the Buy Fresh Buy Local Illinois directory. All restaurants listed in the Buy Fresh Buy Local Illinois guide will receive an entry.
The restaurant receiving the most votes in their region will be crowned the winner of their region. Buy Fresh Buy Local Illinois is made up 5 regions, including the following:
- Central
- Southern
- Western
- Northern
- Chicago
Voting opens on September 14 and closes on September 30.
When you vote, you will be entered for a chance to win dinner for two at any restaurant listed in the Buy Fresh Buy Local Online Directory. Only one ballot will be counted per email address. For official rules please click here.
A winner and runner up to be announced for each region. The winner of each region will receive a badge for their restaurant to have on display, a feature on the Buy Fresh Buy Local website and social media, and bragging rights for the next year. And speaking of the next year, the winners will be highlighted in the 2021 Buy Fresh Buy Local printed Local Food Guide!
The winners will be announced on Sunday, October 4th. A press release will follow along with social media posts, etc.
